The Burning Thorn Bush by Elisaveta Blumina – Acrylic on canvas
Pianist and painter, Elisaveta Blumina, is one of the outstanding artists of the younger generation, who pursue their individual path unperturbed by a modern star cult. The Echo – Prize winner focussed on piano studies and, in parallel, was admitted to the art school of the Hermitage Museum where she studied art history for five years. Later, a longer term stay in the US also led to her taking an interest in interior design. Since her childhood, pianist Elisaveta Blumina associates sounds with colours. When making music she always imagines colours, and harmonious or dissonant sounds correspond with certain colour combinations.
